On October 7, 2022, a Cooperation Memorandum on Environmental Matters was signed between the Environmental Information and Education Center (EIEC) of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia (MEPA), represented by Ms. Tamar Aladashvili, EIEC Director, and the REC Caucasus, represented by Ms. Sophiko Akhobadze, REC Caucasus Executive Director.
The Cooperation Memorandum extends beyond wider environmental issues to encompass awareness-raising on sustainable land resources management and sustainable agriculture development. It directly contributes to cooperation within the framework of the Greenlands Georgia Project through joint promotion and implementation of vocational and higher education programs, as well as capacity strengthening of institutions operating in these fields.
